12:30 PM - Wednesday, October 1, 2008 - comments {0} - post commentRidiculous "Lecture Crashers"!Just came back from school after an unacceptable incident. Supposingly, we (Fenglin and I) are having Corporate Finance lecture at LT 3.09 from 12 pm to 3 pm. I admit that I was late for class, but Fenglin reached there earlier by 5 minutes. Unexpectedly, the whole LT was full housed. Some even stood behind and some took chairs without a table. I should ask...how does the school expect us to attend a lecture without a table? Isnt it terribly ridiculous? We registered for the class and ended up no seat. While for those who did not register for this particular class came and crash our lecture...and moreover, they are sitting comfortably in the LT. Damnation. This is so bad, I knew there will be people complaining about it. No choice, went to have lunch at Megabites instead. Only till half time, went back to LT and get my name signed. Intended to stay for the last hour, but, and but, just find the lecture got no link at all...get bored and went off in the last 40 minutes. Mood was affected. So, the lesson is, should go in the LT and sit down as early as possible. Whatever it is, those lecture crashers are at fault. Wondering if they are doing something to their own self consciousness. Ranting aside. And I bought the Econometrics textbook...not cheap at all nowadays, priced at SGD 55.60. But no choice, have to get it as I am alone for this class...!
I think I should get myself settle down and start my revision as early as possible. Should m ake the transition from "holiday mood to nerd mood" by next week. I promise. I realised I should not get on to so many drama serials. Its getting kinda addictive. Haha. But I know what I am doing. Rather, have been watching the Korean Drama, "太王 四神记". So nice.
Yesterday was doing some kinda filing...I mean some kinda means its really not something simple and ordinary. I spent more than an hour doing filing! Punching holes as if doing work out. Especially for IBM, the notes is one whole "bag". And after filing, "nice to see" and "nice to read and use" too. =)
Anyways, I have got a new PC some weeks ago. Shall introduce you my new HP Slimline 22" inches PC. Perfect work station. =)Lets clap!!!
And Welcome this to my family...=) at last and got this in a couple of months ago...any games to intro?
Alrytes, shall get my revision timetable up, shall get my workout timetable out and lastly, shall get myself out of my own dreamland. PS: really, I realised I got too many black shirts!=P 4:02 PM - Friday, September 26, 2008 - comments {0} - post commentTop Hits on Shane's PlaylistRecently, my music library seems to get boring. 11:49 AM - Tuesday, September 23, 2008 - comments {0} - post commentAnwar's Option Oct 13 or the KingBy Shannon TeohSept 23 - Today the ball is back in Pakatan Rakyat's court. Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had served up his latest volley last Thursday, asking Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to call for an emergency sitting of Parliament to table a motion of no confidence in the latter's administration. Abdullah duly rejected the idea the same afternoon but the PR leaders have decided to wait until today's latest deadline to expire before deciding on their next move. PKR vice-president R. Sivarasa told The Malaysian Insider that while there have been unofficial discussions since Thursday, PR would only decide on a date for a formal meeting today. Its leadership will decide on the latest move in a series of failed attempts to checkmate the Barisan Nasional government. Anwar has seen what he now calls the "symbolic date" of Sept 16 come and go, then a request for an appointment with Abdullah go unheeded and now the attempt to convene Parliament today rebuffed. Sivarasa revealed that there were now only two clear options to back claims that PR has in hand the 31 or more MPs it requires to command the majority in the Dewan Rakyat. "We can wait until Oct 13 or go to the palace." With Anwar having made firm statements about the urgent need for a new government to address the country's economic and democratic woes, it would be both unlikely and inconsistent to wait until Parliament reconvenes on Oct 13. If they do indeed "have the numbers" as PKR often declares, then there is nothing to lose by going to the King. If they have instead been stalling for time, this may be the riskiest gamble yet. The King could decree that they wait for Oct 13, or decide to inquire into the matter personally and force Anwar to reveal the identities of all, if any, defecting legislators. Whatever PR decides on, an endgame is nigh. Either the King decides or PKR will go for a no-confidence motion on Oct 13, which would be no different from having one today, save for a three-week wait. Hence, what DAP leader Lim Kit Siang said of the emergency session applies here as well, as it would serve "to resolve this issue once and for all. If Barisan Nasional has the majority Abdullah will continue to rule and Pakatan Rakyat will accept it. "But if Pakatan Rakyat has the majority, let him announce that he will gracefully, orderly and democratically effect a transition of power."- The Malaysian Insider "Article from The Malaysian Insider Website" http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/ 9:35 AM - Tuesday, September 23, 2008 - comments {0} - post commentA Period of Uncertainties and Un-"expectations"It has been quite a long time since I last blogged. I admit, partly due to my laziness and ignorance. I felt so tired to blog suddenly and really, I do not know what to blog and update exactly. However, that does not even mean that there was no happening at all. So, at last I can really get myself to sit here, and blog once again. A Brand New Academic Year Recognising the date, obviously, it is the start of a new school year/term. After results were released, I confirmed my subjects to be taken in academic year 2. Well well well basically, I have chosen Microeconomics, Elements of Econometrics, Corporate Finance and Business Management (IBM). Why I chose such a combination for year two. I shall explain what is the rationale behind these. Corporate finance is a must for Bsc Banking and Finance, so whatever it is, you have to take eventually. As for Intro. to Business Management, I wanna take it because it is vital. Simple. For elements of econometrics and microeconomics, it is because these are pre requitsites for Financial Analysis in year three. I wanna take more subjects regarding to analysis and valuation. Which I think it is very essential. In the nutshell, what ever you chose, what we should do is to work hard, and just work hard, play hard and continue to swot for our goals and dreams, hopefully, I will be able to attain something like this year's result, hopefully. On path to my first class honours, lets not destroy it. However, after the first lecture for corporate finance, its flat boring. Oh...how am I going to do well!!?? Waiting for the new subject guides! The Malaysia Political Happenings Clearly to everyone, for those who have heard about the Malaysia political tsunami from the news, from family and friends, from other forms of media, its not very good. Lets not talk about the period after the 308 General Election, because it will be non-stop. Lets talk about the last two weeks. After the "Chinese Squatters" incident, the government of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi used the Internal Security Act (ISA) to capture blogger Raja Petra, opposition political member Teresa Kok and even got one news reporter being detained. After two weeks, Teresa Kok has just been released and the news paper reporter was released after less than 16 hours. This is making me, or even many people unable to understand why they are being arrested under ISA. After media repeatedly chasing over the Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar for explanations, we were told that the reporter was detained because her life is under threat and needs to be protected by the government, that is why the government uses ISA to arrest her. For the case of Teresa Kok, for the two weeks, she was just being questioned by police and nothing else. And other kind of explanations by the minister is making the question mark above us bigger and larger. There are so many kind of unexplained details of this action by the government, which really making the people agitated and angry. What was even sudden was the resignation of the Minister of Law, Datuk Zaid Ibrahim. He was totally unfavoured by the use of ISA by the government, which he initially wants change the image of the law system in Malaysia. He is the first to do this, and it is defintely a big blow to the Prime Minister. ISA aside, the plan by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, named "916" has not appear to be true. Yet, he is still on his way to form the new government, we shall wait and see. As for 918, UMNO members kept putting pressure on the current Prime Minister to step down now. Which, the PM, swarped the Minister of Finance and Minister of Defence with Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Well, there are still more changes ahead. Shall update again when there are more happenings. Moonlight Resonance
As for the subtitle, I think everyone should go and watch Moonlight Resonance, a 40 episodes TVB drama. It is very nice and meaningful, it talks about family warmth and love. I think it portraits something that everyone can learn from. Really very nice. 9.9 Stars out of 10. Afterall, life is still as per normal. Enjoying myself. I am fine and happy. PS: I love my family. =) 11:04 PM - Sunday, September 21, 2008 - comments {0} - post commentLaziness.School's starting tomorrow. On a holy Friday. I am too lazy to update my blog anyways. Promise, will update by next week. Happy Weekends to all! 1:10 AM - Friday, September 19, 2008 - comments {0} - post commentResults Released! It is a moment of relief after the results were out yesterday night. What makes thing so funny was, I was leisurely roaming around the net. Out of a sudden, the results just popped out in front of my sight, without me knowing in the first place. So shocked, but luckily everything turned out fine. After three months of unstable emotions and anticipations, hard work does pay off. Shake Head. Moving onwards, its another academic year for all of us, there will be many changes and movements. I realised, its not an easy journey afterall. Because, you might not get what you wanted in the end. Alrytes, everything is crystal clear now. Hopefully next year will be a dynamic year for us, and lets work harder to reach our ultimate goals. Results at a glance:
I am very contented although POA demolished the perfection. Gee. I am a happy man, nothing to complain about. Jia you le!~ 11:42 AM - Wednesday, September 3, 2008 - comments {0} - post commentGoodbye, AMT!Its another "Goodbye" to one part of my life. A long three months of work at AMT has ended today. I gonna miss the great, warm and happy moments with my great bunch of people. I will miss making fun of Mama Anggia, I will miss "getai-ing" and dancing with Yeye Rudi, I will miss playing with Shiyi, Shawn and Mark, I will miss laughing with Kecik Farina, I will miss "aiyo-ing" and "jiao ji-ing" with Wanying Jie, I will miss gossiping with Dorothy, Sharon and Jasmine, I will miss calling Uncle Isa handsome, I will miss the voice of Amanda, I will miss the chasing of parts with QA and sorting, I will miss San San's voice in saying "Hello AMT, GOOOOD Morning--", and I will miss everyone in AMT. I will say that, being able to have such great working partners and colleagues, its not that easy. Three months, some might think its long, some might think its short. However, its both long and short. Its long as time passes by seconds, its short because the happiness and laughter ends with just a blink. Going to work by the company bus early in the morning, makan together, having fruits (especially banana and papaya), the longer the better...=), OT-ing together...Life moves on la, and we have to face other kind of life challenges. Don worry, we will surely gonna meet up again. Had a farewell dinner with Yeye Rudi, Mama Anggia, Second Mama Sutati, Mark, Shiyi, Shawn, Wanying Chek, Farina, Lee Zhi and handsome Isa at Sakura International buffet. So fun! Had a great time, so touching and taken a couple of photos. I love you all people, lets move on together and reach the goals we set for ourselves. Take care yeah!
As for me, life will go on. School reopening soon. I will be back to Malaysia to rest for two weeks. Results coming out soon, and I got a new PC...so happy.=) Jia you la! 10:57 PM - Friday, August 29, 2008 - comments {0} - post comment
